Johnny Depp discusses allegations that he physically abused Amber Heard

"I might look stupid, but I ain’t fucking stupid”

Johnny Depp has addressed allegations that he physically abused ex-wife Amber Heard once more.

As the pair battled for divorce in 2016, Heard alleged that Depp had been physically abusive during their relationship.

Depp denied all claims of domestic violence, and the pair later settled their divorce and the domestic abuse case.

But Depp has now discussed the allegations once more – and claims that a deleted photo shows that Heard did not have a bruise on her face after he was accused of throwing a mobile phone at her.

“She was at a party the next day,” Depp said in a new interview with British GQ.“Her eye wasn’t closed. She had her hair over her eye, but you could see the eye wasn’t shut. Twenty-five feet away from her, how the fuck am I going to hit her? Which, by the way, is the last thing I would’ve done. I might look stupid, but I ain’t fucking stupid.”

Elsewhere he also discussed a controversial Rolling Stone interview from earlier this year – which claimed that Depp faced huge financial problems and a large reliance on alcohol.

Branding the interview a “sham”, he said: “[the journalist] walked in with absolutely one intention. And I could see it and I thought maybe I could help him understand, you know?”

Singling out Rolling Stone co-founder Jann Wenner for criticism, he added: ” I trusted what the magazine stood for, or what it used to stand for. I wanted Jann to see if he could write, to see if a piece could be written… to put things in perspective. That’s all, just to put things in perspective.”
