Johnny Depp lines up his next two projects

Actor buys rights to 'The Night Stalker' and the story of Paul Revere

Johnny Depp, along with his film company Infinitum Nihil, has purchased two projects for the actor to star in.

The first project, The Night Stalker, will be a remake of the television movie of the ’70s which led to a spin-off show of the same name.

Depp would play a Chicago based newspaper reporter, Carl Kolchak, who investigates supernatural crimes when the police have turned a blind eye. The show is often credited as paving the way for shows such as The X-Files.

The second project will be a historical re-telling of the story of Paul Revere, the American hero who made his legendary ‘midnight ride’ to warn that the British army were set to attack.

Word from Deadline is that Johnny Depp will play Paul Revere while Lee and Janet Batchler, writers of Batman Forever, are working on the script.
