Kanye West scores the trailer for new Emily Blunt movie ‘The Girl On The Train’

Thriller is due to hit cinemas in October

Kanye West‘s 2008 hit single ‘Heartless’ soundtracks the trailer for Emily Blunt’s new movie The Girl On The Train.

The track, which appeared on the rapper’s fourth studio album, ‘808s & Heartbreak’, plays throughout the first official teaser for the movie which sees Blunt play Rachel Watson, an alcoholic woman whose life has fallen apart and who is struggling to recuperate following a devastating divorce from her husband Tom, played by Justin Theroux. You can watch the trailer below.

Rachel watches the lives of a seemingly perfect couple as she rides the train daily, but circumstances go downhill quickly when she gets caught up in a mystery involving a missing girl, Megan Hipwell (Haley Bennett) and a night she cannot fully remember.

The film is due for release in October.

Meanwhile, Blunt, Benicio Del Toro and Josh Brolin were all recently confirmed to return for Sicario 2.

Taylor Sheridan, the screenwriter behind the acclaimed 2015 crime thriller about an FBI attempt to take down a Mexican drug cartel, is working on the sequel’s script.

“We’re in full development with the studio. I just got a draft [of the script], and we’re really excited,” producer Molly Smith said.

“Taylor’s a really great world-builder,” fellow producer Trent Luckinbill added. “He’s got that kind of modern Western voice, which is in vogue right now. And he did it again [with the sequel]. It’s a great big world.”

“We can’t reveal the plot, but you’ll see [Emily Blunt, Benicio Del Toro and Josh Brolin] all come back,” the producer continued. “You have such a great character with Benicio, who was as dark as he was and still so loved. That character resonates so well with audiences. People want to know what happened to him, so it’s a perfect foray for us to explore.”

The director of the original Sicario, Denis Villeneuve, is now working on the long-awaited Blade Runner sequel.
