Keanu Reeves wants to play X-Men’s Wolverine

We'd love that.

Keanu Reeves has revealed that he would like to play the role of Wolverine.

In a new interview with ScreenGeek, the 52-year-old actor said that he’s interested in taking the reins from Hugh Jackman, whose stint as the X-Men character ended with Logan in 2017.

When asked about previous comments concerning playing Wolverine and Batman, the John Wick actor was then pressed on which one he’d choose. “Of the two, I’d love to play Wolverine,” he said.

In other news, it seems that the John Wick movie franchise will never end. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, director Chad Stahelski this week said he’d be happy to spend the rest of his career making the sequels.

“I enjoy making these movies because there’s no limit,” Stahelski said, who is currently working on next year’s John Wick: Chapter 3.

“If people go see the movie, and it makes money, and they came back to us, Keanu and I have ideas for days, he continued, adding, “if people like it and want to watch more, I could think of way worse ways to spend your career. But, you know, we’re in the entertainment business. We’ll let the audience figure that out.”

Reeves recently bagged a mystery new role in Toy Story 4, which is released in the UK on June 21, 2019.
