Keanu Reeves has written a book about shadows

It's a collaboration with LA-based photographer Alexandra Grant

Keanu Reeves has teamed up with photographer Alexandra Grant to produce a new book about shadows.

Simply titled Shadows, the hardcover book is now retailing for £38 on Amazon and Waterstones in the UK.

Amazon’s product description describes the book as “a new collaborative series by Alexandra Grant and Keanu Reeves” which “explores the real and symbolic nature of the shadow as image and figure of speech”.

The product description continues: “Grant’s photographs capture Reeves’s shadow at times as a silhouette and at others as traces of light as he and the camera move together. In transforming the images into colour and reversing light for dark, Grant has made the shadows themselves the source of light.

“Reeves’s texts, written in tandem with the creation of the images, give voice to the multiple manifestations of the shadow: as a projected figure, a place of concealed emotion, and an invocation to shadow play.”

Shadows is the second book Reeves has produced in collaboration with LA-based photographer Alexandra Grant. They previously teamed up for 2011’s Ode To Happiness, described as “a grown-ups picture book, a charming reminder not to take oneself too seriously”.

Meanwhile, Reeves started shooting John Wick: Chapter Two late last year. He will be joined in the crime thriller sequel by Common, Ruby Rose and Laurence Fishburne.
