Kevin Hart takes on Twitter follower who accuses him of making ‘stereotypical movies’

'When are black people going to stop being so hard on their own kind,' tweets the actor

Kevin Hart has hit back at a Twitter follower who accused him and Marlon Wayans of making “stereotypical movies”.

When TaShyon Laneigh tweeted “when are black celebs like @KevinHart4real & @MarlonWayans gonna stop doing stereotypical movies?”, copying both actors in, Hart spotted the mention and responded with five tweets of his own.

“When are black people going to stop being so hard on their own kind…We can’t do better until we support each other,” began Hart, whose latest film, Ride Along 2, is an action comedy in which he co-stars opposite Ice Cube.

“I’m busting my ass so other actors of color can eventually get the title “Black Movie Category” removed from the projects that we do,” he added in a subsequent tweet.

“So @tashyonlaneigh I want u 2 realize that people with ur mindset & level of thinking are the reason why our movies get categorized,” he continued. “In the future @tashyonlaneigh I don’t want 2 hear u complain about any of da problems that Black actors r havin Bcuz ur apart of the problem.”
