The cast of The Lord of the Rings film trilogy have reunited remotely on Zoom for Josh Gad’s Reunited Apart chat series — watch the ‘One Zoom to Rule Them All’ special in full below.
Gad has been keeping people entertained during the coronavirus-enforced lockdown by reuniting the stars of such beloved movies as The Goonies, Back To The Future and Splash over mass Zoom chats for charity.
Gad remotely hosted the 50-minute ‘One Zoom to Rule Them All’ special yesterday (May 31) with members of the cast from Peter Jackson’s acclaimed cinematic adaptation of J. R. R. Tolkien’s fantasy novels, which were released as a trilogy of films between 2001 and 2003, taking part.
Those to join in with Gad’s reunion call were The Lord of the Rings stars Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, Billy Boyd, Dominic Monaghan, Orlando Bloom, Viggo Mortensen, John Rhys-Davies, Sean Bean, Liv Tyler, Andy Serkis, Hugo Weaving, Miranda Otto, Karl Urban and Sir Ian McKellen. You can watch ‘One Zoom to Rule Them All’ below.
The stars were also joined by screenwriter/director Peter Jackson, composer Howard Shore and co-writer Philippa Boyens. ‘One Zoom to Rule Them All’ was held in support of No Kid Hungry, a charity which is aiming to end childhood hunger.
Earlier this month, Gollum actor Andy Serkis read aloud the entirety of The Hobbit for a charity livestream.
