Mark Ruffalo discusses ‘more complex’ role for Hulk in ‘Avengers’ sequel

Actor will reprise role as green giant in 'The Avengers: Age Of Ultron'

Mark Ruffalo has said that his role in The Avengers: Age Of Ultron will be “bigger” and “more complex”.

Ruffalo plays Hulk and will reprise the role in the Marvel movie, due for release next summer (2015).

Speaking to Total Film about what lies in store for Hulk, one of the break out characters of the first Avengers film, Ruffalo said: “[My role’s] even bigger than last time, and it’s more complex and it has more layers and a bit more arc.”

He also discussed the technical aspect of filming and how he has adapted to the demands over the course of making two films as the CGI reliant character.

He revealed: “I’m really tripping on the technology of this motion-capture stuff… now I just completely embrace it and see it as this other exciting place we can go as performers.”

Earlier this year Robert Downey Jr revealed the first on-set image from the movie. The actor will reprise his role as Iron Man in the movie alongside fellow cast members including Samuel L Jackson, Scarlett Johansson and Chris Hemsworth.

The sequel to the hugely successful 2012 movie The Avengers will open on April 24, 2015 in the UK while US viewers will have to wait seven extra days, when the film opens there on May 1.
