Mark Ruffalo fans retrieve actor’s phone and wallet lost in NYC blizzard within 18 minutes

The Avengers actor had posted a message on Twitter offering a reward and signed photo

Mark Ruffalo used Twitter for the second time in two years to find his phone and wallet last night (January 23), which had been lost on the snow-covered streets of New York City.

Reaching out to fans on Twitter, the Oscar-nominated actor wrote, “APB out for a cell phone in a wallet case out on the streets of NYC in a blizzard. My drivers license is in there.” He offered a reward and a signed picture for anyone who could help him find it.

Within eighteen minutes he posted another tweet saying, “OMG It was just found! That was freaking fast. Thanks for helping me find it!!”

It was the second time Ruffalo has used Twitter to find his phone and wallet. In 2014 he lost them in Chicago, but a fan named Ross McHale contacted the star on Twitter after finding his belongings in the back of a taxi. In response, Ruffalo tweeted, “Another point for the decency in people… you are a hero!”

Meanwhile, Ruffalo has revealed that his Avengers character, Hulk, has been cut from Captain America: Civil War

Last year the actor was spotted partying in Berlin, where the superhero sequel was being shot, with three of its co-stars, Chris Evans, Daniel Brühl and Anthony Mackie. This sparked rumours that Hulk could be making a previously unannounced appearance in the film.

However, Ruffalo dismissed these suggestions in an interview with Italian outlet Bad Taste, saying that in fact, Hulk’s role has been sliced from the script.

Ruffalo is quoted as saying, “[He’s been cut] because he’s disappeared somewhere unknown. I believed I’d be in the film, but in the end obviously they believe that revealing Hulk’s whereabouts is too important, and Marvel wants to use that story later on. My character had been in the script, but then he was cut. Who knows, maybe Hulk will never come back. Either way, they want to keep what happened to him a secret, because it’s something truly big.”
