Mark Ruffalo has said that Avengers: Age Of Ultron sees his character Hulk “trying to become more part of a group” and possibly even enjoying a romance.
Speaking to the Hollywood Reporter about the developments his green and angry character will undergo in the eagerly anticipated sequel, Ruffalo suggested that fans will see Bruce Banner living as normal a life as possible for a man with his powers.
“I feel like he has the idea that maybe he is a part of something,” Ruffalo said. “He’s trying to really be part of something and feels more comfortable I think with the fantasy that he can actually be part of something. But I still think it’s a struggle for him and I never think that he quite has it under control.”
Ruffalo continued: “I think in this version he’s sort of as close to having a normal life as he possibly could, which might include some romance, but is that ever possible for Banner? That’s really the question.”
Avengers: Age Of Ultron stars Robert Downey Jr, who returns as Iron Man, along with Chris Evans as Captain America, Chris Hemsworth as Thor and Ruffalo as The Hulk.
Scarlett Johansson also returns as Black Widow and Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye with the additional support of Samuel L Jackson as Nick Fury and Cobie Smulders as Agent Maria Hill. James Spader, Elizabeth Olsen, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Paul Bettany will also appear.
Director Joss Whedon’s Avengers Assemble made over £1 billion at the worldwide box office in 2012. Avengers: Age Of Ultron will be released in cinemas April 24, 2015. Watch the film’s first trailer below.
