Matt Dillon, Brendan Fraser sign on for Charles Matthau’s ‘Freaky Deaky’

Craig Robinson also set to star in adaptation of Elmore Leonard crime novel

Matt Dillon has signed up to play the lead role in a movie adaptation of Elmore Leonard‘s 1988 crime novel Freaky Deaky.

Dillon will play the role of LAPD cop Chris Mankowski in director Charles Matthau‘s forthcoming movie, reports Variety.com.

The story follows Mankowski‘s efforts to thwart a plot by two former hippy activists to trick Hollywood movie mogul Woody Ricks into handing over millions of dollars.

Brendan Fraser has also agreed to appear in the film as campaigner Skip Gibbs, while Hot Tub Time Machine star Craig Robinson will play former Black Panther Donnel Lewis.
