The acting veteran took part in a battle with Peter Dinklage in a new Super Bowl advert
Missy Elliott and Morgan Freeman star in a new Super Bowl advert, in which the actor lip syncs to the musician’s hit track ‘Get Ur Freak On’.
The commercial advertises Doritos Blaze and Mountain Dew Ice, and also stars Peter Dinklage and Busta Rhymes.
The final cut of the advert sees Dinklage take on Rhymes’ ‘Look At Me Now’ in a room filled with flames, while Freeman struts through an icy room, mouthing along to Elliott’s track. Watch the advert below.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Freeman said: “Rapping doesn’t come naturally to me, but it was a painless experience.” He added that he was “surprised” by how fast he learnt the words.
A teaser for the advert was released at the weekend (January 27), in which Elliott coaches Freeman, while Rhymes preps Dinklage by putting the pair through a series of tongue-twisters.
Justin Timberlake is set to perform at next month’s Superbowl, causing rumours that his former boyband N-Sync could reunite at the event.
The singer and his bandmates went their separate ways in 2002. Though they announced their split as a “temporary hiatus” at the time, they haven’t recorded together since. Five years later, Lance Bass confirmed they had “definitely broken up”.
The group did however join Timberlake on stage during his MTV VMA performance in 2013.
