Portman has reprised her role as Jane Foster in 'Thor: The Dark World', due this October
Natalie Portman has hinted that Thor 3 is already in the works.
The Oscar-winning actress played love interest Jane Foster in 2011’s Thor and has reprised her role opposite Chris Hemsworth in the forthcoming sequel, titled Thor: The Dark World. Meanwhile, supporting cast members Tom Hiddleston, Idris Elba, Stellan Skarsgård and Anthony Hopkins have all returned for the sequel too.
Hopkins has recently revealed he’s keen to make a third film, and when asked about this by E! News, Portman replied: “Yeah, well I think they are going to make a Thor 3, so I think Anthony will be pleased.”
In the meantime, Thor: The Dark World will open in UK cinemas on October 30 before getting a US release on November 8. Former Doctor Who star Christopher Eccleston has joined the cast and plays a supervillain called Malekith the Accursed.
According to the film’s official synopsis, “a vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness” and it falls on Hemsworth’s hammer-wielding hero to stop him. Scroll down and click ‘play’ to watch the latest trailer.
