The duo want the Oscar winner for sci-fi project 'Jupiter Ascending'
Natalie Portman is being courted to star in the new film from the Wachowski Brothers.
The duo are planning a new science fiction movie, Jupiter Ascending, and are said to be in hot pursuit of the Oscar winner, according to the Los Angeles Times.
If she accepts, it will be the first time Portman has collaborated with Lana and Andy Wachowski since comic book adaptation V For Vendetta. Sources close to the actress say she is seriously considering the role. Little is currently known about the project.
Portman, who won the Best Actress Oscar for Black Swan last year, has not worked since the birth of her son Aleph last summer. At present, her only pending commitment is to the forthcoming Thor 2.
The Wachowskis are expected to begin work on Jupiter Ascending in autumn this year, once they complete work on the highly-anticipated Cloud Atlas, which stars Tom Hanks, Hugo Weaving, Susan Sarandon and Halle Berry.
