New images of Tom Hardy as Al Capone from set of ‘Fonzo’ released

Director Josh Trank has shared a trio of new images

New images of Tom Hardy starring as Al Capone have been released.

The first image of Hardy as the infamous gangster was shared back in August of last year.

Now, director Josh Trank has shared a trio of images from the set of Fonzo, giving us another glimpse at the actor in costume.

Seen with Neal Brennan – whose part is yet to be revealed – and Jack Lowden (Fighting with my Family), who stars as FBI agent Crawford, Hardy looks menacing as the gangster, who also went by the name Scarface.

Standing alongside the men, dressed in burgundy silk pyjamas and pulling a spot-on Capone expression, the other picture of Hardy sees him sitting and smoking a cigar behind a clapperboard.

Fonzo will chart the last year of Capone’s life, meeting him aged 47 when he was suffering from dementia following his time in Alcatraz.

Green Book’s Linda Cardellini will play Mae Capone, while Matt Dillon and Noel Fisher will also star in the film.

Scored by Run The Jewels‘ El-P, Fonzo is yet to confirm a UK release.

Meanwhile, Tom Hardy was made a CBE last year by Prince Charles in a ceremony held at Buckingham Palace.

The actor was announced as one of the recipients of the Queen’s birthday honours in June, with him being recognised for his services for drama.
