Another 30-second teaser for next month's 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' has been unveiled
A new 30-second Star Wars TV spot has been released, the fifth to hit screens since the final full-length trailer for The Force Awakens arrived at the end of October.
The latest teaser focuses on John Boyega’s character, a First Order stormtrooper called Finn, and shows the new recruit having a brief exchange with Harrison Ford’s Han Solo. Check it out below.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens is set for release in the UK on December 17 and in the US a day later. It takes place 30 years after the events of Return Of The Jed, though specific plot details are being kept tightly under wraps. The film’s script was penned by director JJ Abrams, Toy Story 3 writer Michael Arndt and Star Wars franchise veteran Lawrence Kasdan.
Alongside John Boyega, Daisy Ridley and the returning trio of Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher, the film’s cast includes Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Adam Driver, Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow and Andy Serkis. Meanwhile, it has emerged that the film will feature a character apparently named after a Beastie Boys album.
Abrams has also revealed that Carrie Fisher’s Leia will not be referred to as “Princess” in the film, but has instead been given a new, more military-sounding title.
