The first TV spot for new Superman movie Man Of Steel has been released. Scroll down and click ‘play’ to watch it.

The atmospheric 30-second teaser sees Henry Cavill‘s Clark Kent question his origins – as well as his ability to live a normal life on Earth. It also includes a quick glimpse of Amy Adams‘s Lois Lane.

Man Of Steel, conceived as a Superman reboot, was directed by Zack Snyder (Watchmen, 300) from a script by David S Goyer and Christopher Nolan, who also served as executive producer. Speaking last month (March), Goyer insisted that Man Of Steel has a different tone to Nolan’s Batman trilogy.

He explained: “Relatable and realistic doesn’t necessarily mean dark. I think it would be inappropriate for us to approach a Superman film as if we were doing The Dark Knight. The Batman films are a lot more nihilistic; Superman has always been a story about hope.”

Alongside Cavill and Adams, Man Of Steel boasts a bumper ensemble cast including Russell Crowe, Kevin Costner, Michael Shannon, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane. The film arrives in cinemas on June 14.
