The new trailer is longer than the one released last month, which can be viewed here, and appears to reveal more about the film’s plot.

The third and final Hangover movie doesn’t involve a wedding, but does feature a funeral, a road trip and a mission to find Ken Jeong’s Mr Chow after a tough guy played by John Goodman accuses him of stealing $21 million.

Wolfpack regulars Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis and Justin Bartha are all back for one last adventure, joined by Heather Graham, Melissa McCarthy, Jeong and Goodman. Todd Phillips, director of the first two Hangover movies, returned to complete his trilogy.

Phillips recently revealed that the final film will focus on Alan, the character played by Zach Galifianakis. The director explained: “The Hangover Part III is Alan’s story. He’s going through a crisis after the death of his father, [and] the Wolfpack is all he has.”

Released in 2009, The Hangover became the highest-grossing R-rated comedy ever and won a Golden Globe for best motion picture – musical or comedy. The 2011 sequel, The Hangover Part II, was even more successful at the box office, taking over $580 million (£375 million) worldwide. The Hangover Part III will arrive in cinemas on May 24.
