Gordon Levitt also stars in the quirky romcom opposite Scarlett Johansson
A snappy new trailer for Joseph Gordon-Levitt‘s quirky romcom Don Jon has been released. Scroll down and click ‘play’ to watch it.
In addition to writing the film’s script and directing, Gordon-Levitt stars as Jon Martello, a body-conscious womaniser whose friends call him “Don Jon” because of his ability to score with the opposite sex. The new trailer offers an insight into the character’s musical tastes by showing him singing along to ‘Good Vibrations’ by Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch.
“Don Jon” enjoys porn even more than pulling, but attempts to turn over a new leaf when he meets Scarlett Johansson‘s Barbara Sugarman, an attractive young woman who prefers Hollywood romcoms to dirty movies.
The film’s cast also includes Julianne Moore and Tony Danza. Meanwhile, Anne Hathaway, Channing Tatum and Cuba Gooding Jr all make knowing cameos as the stars of a movie within a movie.
Don Jon premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January (2013) to generally positive reviews and opens in US cinemas on September 27 as the trailer specifies. Its UK release follows on November 15.
