Nicolas Cage will not be prosecuted after ‘disorder’ arrest

Charges dropped against 'Kick Ass' star

Nicolas Cage will not face criminal charges over his arrest for allegedly attacking his wife Alice Kim in New Orleans last month.

The Hollywood actor was booked by police on April 16 after being arrested near the home he rents with Kim in the French Quarter of the city.

He was later charged with domestic abuse, disturbing the peace and public drunkenness.

However, Cage‘s lawyer Harry Rosenberg has said that the Orleans Parish district attorney’s office has refused the charges, meaning the Kick Ass star will not be prosecuted, reports BBC News.

“We are pleased that the process led to the correct result, despite the inaccurate media reports, and that Nick has been cleared and all charges have been dropped,” Rosenberg commented.

A police statement released at the time of his arrest alleged that Cage got into an argument with Kim, grabbed her arm and began hitting cars.

The actor recently appeared in films such as Season Of The Witch and Drive Angry.
