A 3D movie about pop band One Direction is set to be directed by the man behind the 2004 fast food documentary, Super Size Me.
The odd pairing will see Morgan Spurlock behind the lens for the Sony Pictures production, which is said to be a ‘behind the scenes’ look at the phenomenally successful British boy band.
The film will be released on August 30, 2013. Simon Cowell will be co-producing the movie, which will be in the same vein as Katy Perry: Part of Me, writes Hollywood Reporter.
Meanwhile, One Direction are apparently set to play a special gig at the White House.
The Daily Star recently reported that US President Barack Obama wants them to play a show for his daughters, 14-year-old Malia and 11-year-old Sasha, so he can thank them for the help they provided on his election campaign.
They released their second album ‘Take Me Home’ yesterday (November 12).
