Sandra Bullock will reportedly front female-led ‘Ocean’s Eleven’ reboot

George Clooney is apparently involved in the reboot and could cameo as Danny Ocean

Sandra Bullock is reportedly set to star in a female-led reboot of the Ocean’s Eleven franchise.

The reboot has apparently been in the works for around a year, with George Clooney, star of the recent Ocean’s trilogy, and Steven Soderbergh, the director of those films, both involved in initiating the project.

Clooney could cameo as Danny Ocean in the reboot, which will be directed by Gary Ross (Seabiscuit, the first Hunger Games film). The Playlist reports that screenwriter Olivia Milch (Little Women) has already completed a draft of its script.

Further casting and all plot details – including how the new movie may or may not relate to the Clooney-led trilogy – are currently unknown.

Clooney starred opposite actors including Brad Pitt, Matt Damon and Don Cheadle in Soderbergh’s 2001 Ocean’s Eleven film and a pair of successful sequels which followed in 2004 and 2007. The 2001 film was itself a remake of a 1960 heist movie starring five members of the so-called Hollywood ‘Rat Pack’ including Frank Sinatra.
