See Daisy Ridley’s ‘awesome and terrifying’ faceswap with ‘Star Wars: Episode VIII’ director Rian Johnson

Filming is currently underway for 2017 film

Daisy Ridley has taken time out from filming the new Star Wars movie by uploading a faceswap photo of herself and director Rian Johnson.

Star Wars: Episode VIII sees Johnson take over from JJ Abrams, with Ridley reprising the role of Rey.

Posting the image to Instagram, Ridley wrote, “@RianCJohnson and I face swapped and it was awesome and terrifying”. See the picture beneath.

This comes after the first photos of the Star Wars set from Ridley.

Shooting for Star Wars: Episode VIII began at Pinewood Studios in February with Ridley returning alongside John Boyega, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Mark Hamill, Gwendoline Christie, Domhnall Gleeson, Carrie Fisher, Andy Serkis, Lupita Nyong’o and Anthony Daniels.

Benicio Del Toro and Laura Dern have been cast as new characters in the film, whilst it’s also been rumoured that Bottom actor Ade Edmonson has been snapped up for a role.

Star Wars: Episode VIII will be released in the UK on December 15, 2017.
