The sixth and final Sharknado movie has been confirmed.
The so-bad-maybe-it’s-good film franchise kicked off in 2013, with its fifth instalment Sharknado 5: Global Swarming released last year.
TV Line reports that Sharknado 6 is currently untitled, but is expected this summer via Syfy.
Plot details are starting to emerge and what we know so far is that Ian Ziering’s lead character Finn will attempt to travel back in time to before the “Sharknado” began, presumably going full circle to the beginning of the first movie. The fifth film had seen Finn wandering the earth alone, surveying the damage that had been inflicted.
According to a synopsis, this sixth film will also include “Nazis, dinosaurs, knights, and Noah’s Ark.”
Anthony C Ferrante will once again direct and Tara Reid, Cassie Scerbo and Vivica A Fox will all return. A “slew of stunt-y guest castings/cameos” are also expected.
Last year, it was revealed that Donald Trump almost played the US President in Sharknado 3.
David Latt, the co-founder of the studio behind the Sharknado series, claimed that Trump accepted the role and was “thrilled” about it.
However, Trump’s attorney then contacted Latt to say that he would not be playing the role on account of him eyeing up the actual presidency, although this wouldn’t be known to Latt until months later.
