Star-studded sequel is set to arrive in cinemas next July (2014)

Director Bryan Singer has confirmed that he has finished shooting X-Men: Days Of Future Past.

Production on the sequel to 2011’s X-Men: First Class began on April 15 in Montreal, Canada and wrapped yesterday (August 17) in the same city. Singer used Twitter to share the news with fans of the franchise and also posted a picture of himself with writer-producer Simon Kinberg, producer Hutch Parker and star Hugh Jackman.

Alongside Jackman, Singer brought together a massive ensemble cast for X-Men: Days Of Future Past including Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Halle Berry, Nicholas Hoult, Peter Dinklage, Ellen Page and Anna Paquin. The full cast convened at San Diego Comic-Con last month (July) and Singer shared a memorable photo from the event.
