Brit comic actor to team up with Britpop veteran for 'A Fantastic Fear Of Everything'
Simon Pegg has begun filming on a new comedy, A Fantastic Fear Of Everything, under the direction of Crispian Mills.
Shooting began at Pinewood Studios earlier this month, with the lead singer of Kula Shaker making his feature debut.
Pegg will play the role of a paranoid crime novelist who, after too much research into Victorian slayings, is convinced he will be murdered.
The music connection doesn’t end with the ‘Hey Dude’ singer calling the shots, as Chris Hopewell, famous for creating the promos for Radiohead‘s ‘There There’ and The Killers‘ ‘Smile Like You Mean It’, is also working on the project.
Simon Pegg has a number of musician friends, including Chris Martin.
Not only has Pegg appeared onstage with Coldplay to play harmonica, he is also godfather to their lead singer’s daughter, Apple. Returning the favour, Coldplay cameoed in Pegg‘s cinematic breakout, Shaun Of The Dead.
A Fantastic Fear Of Everything will be released in the UK by Universal Pictures. No released date has yet been announced.
