'Apologies, I overslept,' the London-born actor tells journalists gathered from all over Europe
Star Wars actor John Boyega arrived late to the The Force Awakens‘ London press conference yesterday (December 17).
The London-born actor failed to join director J.J. Abrams, screenwriter Lawrence Kasdan and co-stars Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Daisy Ridley, Lupita Nyong’o, Adam Driver and Gwendoline Christie as the press conference at the Corinthia Hotel began, but walked in around 15 minutes late.
“Apologies, I overslept,” he told journalists gathered from all over Europe, before admitting that he’d had a “very very busy night”.
During the press conference, Harrison Ford was asked for his thoughts on the upcoming Star Wars spin-off film featuring a much younger version of his iconic character Han Solo, and told journalists that he wants “nothing to do with it”.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens was released in British cinemas yesterday and smashed the UK’s opening day record. J.J. Abrams’ film goes on general release in the US today (December 18) after playing in select American cinemas yesterday.
