Those Star Wars fans who were disappointed to see Phasma being killed off have been placated somewhat by the emergence of a new deleted scene, which features as part of the package of additional footage which will be included in the forthcoming home release of The Last Jedi – set for release in the UK on April 9.

The scene in question has premiered on the latest episode of The Star Wars Show, with the deleted scene extending the lead-up to Phasma’s eventual death at the hands of Finn – check it out below at the 1:37 mark.

The forthcoming Blu-ray release of The Last Jedi will also give fans an insight into one particularly humorous detail about the filming of the movie, with the additional footage revealing that Carrie Fisher slapped Oscar Isaac in the face 24 times while filming of one scene.
