Tara Reid reveals new ‘American Pie’ movie set in Las Vegas is being discussed

Teen movie crew last reunited for 2012's 'American Reunion', which performed well at the box office

Tara Reid has revealed that a new American Pie movie is being discussed, and could be set in Las Vegas.

Reid played Vicky Lathum, one of the female leads, in 1999’s original American Pie film and returned for two of its three sequels, including the most recent instalment, 2012’s American Reunion.

During an Australian radio interview earlier today (May 11), the Daily Mail reports, Reid was asked about the teen comedy franchise, and replied: “There’s actually talks about [a fifth movie]; they may be doing it in Las Vegas.”

Reid, seen recently in the Sharknado TV movies, also confirmed that she would be keen to reprise her role as Vicky Lathum in a fifth American Pie film.

American Reunion, which revived the franchise after a nine-year hiatus, performed well at the box office, grossing over $235 million worldwide (£152 million) from an estimated $50 million (£32 million) production budget. Alongside Reid, original cast members Jason Biggs, Mena Suvari, Seann William Scott, Alyson Hannigan, Eugene Levy, Chris Klein and Jennifer Coolidge all reprised their roles from the previous films.
