Full trailer for the dinosaur sequel is expected to be unveiled next week
A cryptic teaser for the Jurassic World trailer has been released.
The 20-second clip features none of the stars of the eagerly-anticipated film – dinosaur or human – but references the famous scene from the original Jurassic Park film in which a cup of water is seen vibrating to the footsteps of a Tyrannosaurus rex.
The first full-length trailer for Jurassic World is expected to be unveiled on November 27, when a countdown on the film’s official website runs out. Promotion for the eagerly-anticipated dinosaur sequel now seems to be stepping up with the launch of a viral website earlier this week.
Jurassic World is set to open in cinemas on June 12, 2015. It will arrive in cinemas nearly 14 years after the last instalment in the series, 2001’s Jurassic Park III.
Parks And Recreation/Guardians Of The Galaxy star Chris Pratt heads up the film’s cast, flanked by actors including Bryce Dallas Howard, Ty Simpkins and Judy Greer.
Colin Trevorrow is directing from a script he has co-written, with Steven Spielberg – who directed the first two films in the franchise – on board as an executive producer. Earlier this year Trevorrow teased the possibility of sequels to Jurassic World, saying: “We wanted to create something that would be a little bit less arbitrary and episodic, and something that could potentially arc into a series that would feel like a complete story.”
