Jeremy Renner reveals more about his replacement for Matt Damon in new movie
Jeremy Renner has revealed more details of his character in The Bourne Legacy.
The Hurt Locker star steps into the lead role in the fourth film in the action franchise, which will tell a story that deals with the consequences of the actions of Matt Damon‘s character Jason Bourne.
Now, Renner has revealed to Empire:
My character is called Aaron Cross, but he ends up having a bunch of different names.
Renner also reassured fans that the new film will take place in the same universe as the first three films: “For fans of the franchise, it has the same ticking clock, but it’s a new programme and new characters. It’s that same deal, it’s just a new set of agents with a different leash. It’s the same tempo and pace but more expansive and bigger. The differences are pretty vast but you’ll still know it’s a Bourne movie.”
Damon recently confirmed that the new film does not rule out of possibility of him returning to the role of Bourne one day.
The Bourne Legacy co-stars Edward Norton, Rachel Weisz and Albert Finney. It is released in the UK on August 17, 2012.
