‘The Kids Are All Right’ to be turned into TV show

Film to be turned into HBO pilot

US subscription TV channel HBO have announced that they are to turn to Oscar-nominated film The Kids Are All Right into an hour-long pilot.

The adaptation of the hit movie, which came out last year, will be be penned by the film’s director Lisa Cholodenko.

According to Deadline, the plot will focus on the adventures of the original main five characters.

The film featured same-sex partners played by Annette Bening and Julianne Moore bringing up their son and daughter (played by Josh Hutcherson and Mia Wasikowska).

Their biological father of the kids/sperm donor was played by Mark Ruffalo in the film.

It has not been announced who will play the characters in the TV pilot but but Cholodenko will be exec producer alongside the film’s original producers, Antidote Films’ Jeffrey Levy-Hinte, Gilbert Films’ Gary Gilbert and Maven Pictures’ Celine Rattray.
