Tom Hardy has finally got his Leonardo DiCaprio tattoo after losing Oscars bet

The actor had wagered that his 'The Revenant' co-star wouldn't win the Best Actor trophy in 2016

Tom Hardy has finally gotten his Leonardo DiCaprio tattoo, two years after losing a bet with his The Revenant co-star.

In 2016, Hardy bet that his fellow actor wouldn’t win the Best Actor trophy at the Oscars for his role in Alejandro González Iñárritu’s award-winning epic. DiCaprio had been nominated for the award five times without winning ahead of the 2016 ceremony, but was finally victorious for his role of frontiersman Hugh Glass.

Whoever lost the bet had to get a tattoo of the other’s choosing, with DiCaprio stipulating that Hardy must get inked with the phrase “Leo knows everything”. Some months after the 2016 ceremony, Hardy told Esquire he had yet to get the tattoo because his co-star had written it “in this really shitty handwriting”.

“I was like, ‘OK, I’ll get it done, but you have to write it properly’,” he told the publication.

Now, a photo of Hardy with the tattoo has appeared on bartender Andrew Calisterio’s Instagram page. “Captured a couple pictures for @tomhardy today,” he wrote. “Fingers crossed he posts them. Regardless here’s an obligatory selfie.”

In the photo, the tattoo is visible on the actor’s right arm. In block capitals of varying sizes, it reads: “Leo knows all”.

Hardy’s 1999 rap mixtape recently surfaced online. ‘Falling On Your Arse In 1999’ was uploaded to Bandcamp earlier this month by DJ Eddie Too Tall, who collaborated with Hardy on the tape.

A note on the webpage hosting the songs reads: “Made in a bedroom 1999 these mixtapes were never really finished. Lyrics written and performed by Tom Hardy. Music written and produced by Ed Tracy.”
