The couple briefly known as "Hiddleswift" split earlier this month (September)
Tom Hiddleston has confirmed that he and Taylor Swift remain on friendly terms after their split.
The Night Manager actor confirmed he was dating the ‘1989’ singer in July, but the pair announced that they gone had gone their separate ways earlier this month (September).
Asked if they are still amicable, Hiddleston told People at the Emmys in Los Angeles yesterday (September 18): “Yes. Yes, we are.”
Swift was first rumoured to be dating Hiddleston in June after they were spotted kissing on a beach two weeks after her split with Calvin Harris. Swift and Harris dated from March 2015 until their split in June of this year.
Following conspiracy theories that their relationship could be fake, Hiddleston insisted in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that their feelings for one another were genuine.
Asked about his new relationship, the actor said at the time: “The truth is that Taylor Swift and I are together and we’re very happy. Thanks for asking.” He added, “That’s the truth. It’s not a publicity stunt.”
Hiddleston was nominated for the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series or Movie prize at yesterday’s Emmy Awards for his role in The Night Manager, but lost out to Courtney B. Vance, who won for The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story.
