The latest vampire chapter has grossed $500 million in just 12 days
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 has passed the $500 million mark globally.
The latest instalment in the smash hit supernatural romance has now grossed $508 million (£327 million) in the 12 days since its release.
Distributor Summit Entertainment’s co-chairmen Rob Friedman and Patrick Wachsberger said in a joint statement: “We couldn’t be more pleased with the success of this film and a franchise that the fans have continued to support over the past several years.
“Thank you to all involved with the films from the actors, filmmakers and Stephanie Meyer to the most important group of all, the global fanbase that continues to drive a desire for more Edward, Jacob and Bella.”
The latest film sees heroes Edward and Bella get married, before she becomes pregnant in a matter of hours, leading to a new battle breaking out.
