‘Twilight’ to get film or TV spin-off?

But it wouldn't feature Robert Pattinson or Kristen Stewart

The makers of the Twilight movies are already working on a spin-off, according to a new report.

The final film in the franchise, Breaking Dawn – Part 2, opens in cinemas on November 16 (2012). You can the trailer below. The four previous Twilight movies, made by Lionsgate and Summit Entertainment, have already grossed a collective $2 billion (£1.25 billion) worldwide.

Yesterday (October 17), an anonymous source reportedly told Moviehole that Lionsgate and Summit are “already onto the follow-up”. This could apparently take the form of a “TV show or film spin-off”.

However, the spin-off would not feature “the main trio” of Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner. According to the source, it would “merely [be] set in the same world as the one in the movies”. The popular gang of Wolf Pack characters from the films is said to be “one area of interest”.

Meanwhile, Kristen Stewart has recently admitted that she is “ready to say goodbye” to the Twilight franchise. The actress made her first appearance as Bella Swan back in 2008, when she was just 18.
