According to CinemaSins, the video’s makers the video, Looper contains 43 “movie sins”. These range from plot inconsistencies to continuity errors to an unusual menu option in the film’s diner. “Soy steak is a sin whether it’s in a movie or real life,” the video notes drily.
Released last September (2012), Looper is a sci-fi action flick set in a future where time travel has been invented but outlawed. It stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt as a man who meets himself 30 years in the future, with Bruce Willis playing the older version of the same man. Gordon-Levitt’s face underwent heavy prosthesis to make the actor look more like Willis.
Looper was a hit at the box office, taking over $166m (£103m) worldwide, and also proved popular with film critics. It comes out on Blu-ray and digital download in the UK on January 28.
Since joining YouTube last month (December 2012), CinemaSins has already exposed the “movie sins” in several other blockbusters, including The Dark Knight Rises, The Avengers and The Amazing Spider-Man.
