Hobbs And Shaw will be directed by David Leitch, who recently helmed Deadpool 2, while Fast And Furious‘ Chris Morgan will write the script. Filming is due to begin this autumn.

Meanwhile, Elba recently launched his own record label, called 7Wallace. His first signing to the imprint is French-Cameroonian artists James BKS, who has produced for Diddy and Talib Kweli, among others.

James BKS will release his debut single ‘Kwlele’ on the label on July 13. It features his father, Afro-jazz saxophonist Manu Dibango, as well as Mai Lan and Allan Kingdom. In an interview with Billboard, Elba said: “James is a rare find. His hip-hop sensibilities transfer to the other music he makes, he’s a nice person to work with and is gonna be a strong artist for the future. It’s a huge move for 7Wallace, a small indie label.”
