Watch Betty White declare ‘Deadpool’ the year’s best movie

'Golden Girls' legend also praises Ryan Reynolds for looking 'so f***ing handsome in his red suit'

Betty White has given Deadpool a glowing review in a new YouTube video.

The Golden Girls legend declares the comic book movie – which opens in the US today (February 12) are hitting UK cinemas on Wednesday (February 10) – both “glorious” and “the best picture of the year”.

“Once in a generation a movie comes along that your whole family will love,” she adds. “If your family is a screwed up group of ****-kissing inbreds.”

She also praises the film’s star, Ryan Reynolds, with whom she appeared in 2009’s The Proposal, for looking “so f***ing handsome in his red suit”.

The long-awaited Deadpool movie sees Ryan Reynolds flanked by a supporting cast that includes Haywire‘s Gina Carano, former Homeland actress Morena Baccarin, Game Of Thrones veteran Ed Skrein and Silicon Valley star TJ Miller.

The film’s official plot synopsis teases: “Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, Deadpool tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humour, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.”

According to a report earlier this week, Deadpool 2 is already in the works at Fox.
