As previously reported, Bill Murray is helping out at his son’s bar in New York this weekend. Friday night was his first shift and it saw him singing along to The Rolling Stones while serving – and drinking – tequila shots.
The actor has been known for his spontaneous bartending in the past, appearing at Austin bar Shangri-La during SXSW 2010. This weekend, Murray is working at 21 Greenpoint, his son Homer’s bar in Brooklyn.
The Gothamist reports that on Friday night the queue to the bar stretched around the block, with Murray inside singing along to a playlist of The Rolling Stones, The Faces and Pink Floyd.

Earlier this year, Murray was reported to have thrown fans’ mobile phones off the roof of a restaurant.
The actor was attending Justin Timberlake‘s 901 Tequila party at Vesuvio, a restaurant in Carmel, California on February 11 when the incident occurred. Murray was said to have become annoyed with people getting too close to him as they were trying to take selfies with him.
Murray was alleged to have thrown three phones off the roof. The police were called to the restaurant at 10:30pm, but by the time they arrived the actor had left.
