Tatum stars with George Clooney and Josh Brolin in the Coen brothers' comedy 'Hail, Caesar!'
A new teaser for the Coen brothers’ Hail, Caesar! has been released – and it features Channing Tatum singing a song called ‘No Dames’.
Written and directed by Joel Coen and Ethan Coen, Hail, Caesar! is set at the tail end of Hollywood’s Golden Age. Josh Brolin stars as Eddie Mannix, a studio “fixer” whose job is to keep actors’ personal scandals out of the press.
Alongside Brolin and Tatum the film’s impressive cast includes George Clooney, Ralph Fiennes, Tilda Swinton, Scarlett Johansson, Jonah Hill and Frances McDormand. Action movie veterans Dolph Lundgren and Christopher Lambert appear in supporting roles too.
Hail, Caesar!, the Coen brothers’ first film as directors since 2013’s Inside Llewyn Davis, opens in US cinemas this Friday (February 5) before getting a UK release on March 4.
Though Tatum is not known as a singer, he recently teamed up with Beyoncé for a mimed rendition of her hit ‘Girls (Run The World)’ on the original US version of Lip Sync Battle. His rendition of ‘No Dames’ will appear on the Hail, Caesar soundtrack album.
Meanwhile, George Clooney recently shared his thoughts on Hollywood’s ongoing #OscarsSoWhite controversy, arguing that that the film industry “needs to get better” at encouraging diversity.
