Life finds a way....
The first trailer for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom has been released, and we’ve provided with the first glimpse of Jeff Goldblum’s return as Dr Ian Malcolm. Check it out below
In the first glimpse of the sequel, Owen Brady (Chris Pratt) is seen sitting in a bar with Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard) as they discuss a potential return to the doomed site of Isla Nublar, the setting of 2015’s Jurassic World.
Predictably, it isn’t long before the rescue mission doesn’t seem like the best of ideas as dinosaurs run amok amid volcanic explosions – with one notable moment showing Pratt screaming ‘RUN’ as he attempts to flee a horde of the prehistoric beasts.
But perhaps the most significant moment of the trailer comes in the form of Dr Ian Malcolm’s return, after Jeff Goldblum’s Chaos Theory expert was last seen in 2001’s Jurassic World 3.
In the trailer, Dr Malcolm appears to be addressing an unspecified committee hearing – before the trailer eventually concludes with an utterance of his iconic line ‘life finds a way’.
Production on the film began in London back in February, before it moved to Hawaii – with producer Frank Marshall revealing the news on his Twitter account.
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom also sees J.A. Bayona taking over directorial duties from Colin Trevorrow and is set for release on June 22 2018.
