He's appearing in 'Let Me Make You A Martyr'
The first footage of Marilyn Manson‘s role as a calculating hitman in a new thriller has been released.
The singer plays a ruthless killer in new crime film ‘Let Me Make You A Martyr’, which is set to debut at Fantasia Film Festival in Montreal.
In the first footage released from the film, Manson’s character can be seen delivering a chilling ultimatum to one of his targets.
“Look, you would have shot me if you were man enough when I walked through the fucking door,” Manson’s character threateningly shouts.
“Let’s just get this shit over with. You know you’re dead already.”
The film also stars Mark Boone Junior, who brought Manson on to the project after previously collaborating on ‘Sons of Anarchy.
Describing the film, which Manson describes as his “biggest role” to date, the shock rocker told Rolling Stone: “Mark brought me into the project.
“We were friends from Sons of Anarchy. He’s sort of my unwanted mentor. He tells me what to do. He’s always encouraged me, but he’s very bossy about it. He says things like, ‘You gotta do this, motherfucker. You’ll like this.'”
He added: “It was the biggest role that I’ve played. On the script, I’d say I was on half of the pages. I don’t know how the movie will end up though. I just had to observe the level of poverty and, I guess, white trash element to the story.”
A UK release date is yet to be scheduled for the film.
