A new trailer clip for upcoming Marvel film Deadpool has been unveiled. Scroll below to watch.
The long-awaited comic book film will open in UK cinemas on February 10. Ryan Reynolds – who plays the titular anti-hero – is flanked by a supporting cast that includes Haywire‘s Gina Carano, former Homeland actress Morena Baccarin and Silicon Valley star TJ Miller.
The film’s official plot synopsis teases: “Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, Deadpool tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humour, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.”
This new trailer shows Reynolds’ Deadpool delivering a rather unconventional marriage proposal. Watch beneath.
Surprise early screenings of Deadpool were held in New York and Los Angeles last week (January 18) and the initial response to the film has been overwhelmingly positive.
Those attending the screenings were told they would be seeing a selection of preview footage, but were actually shown the Ryan Reynolds-led superhero movie in its entirety.
Though full reviews are currently under embargo, many of them took to Twitter after the screenings to brand the R-rated romp “outstanding”, “fucking amazing” and “just a blast”.
