William Sadler will reprise The Reaper for ‘Bill & Ted 3: Face the Music’

The Reaper from the Bill & Ted movie franchise will return for Bill & Ted 3: Face the Music.

William Sadler is to reprise the role that he played in the 1991 sequel to Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure (1989), Bill & Ted’s Bogus Adventure – for the upcoming third instalment released next year.

The Twitter account for Bill & Ted 3 officially confirmed the news today (March 25) that Sadler would join forces with Alex Winter’s Bill and Keanu Reeves’ Ted once more.


One of The Reaper’s most memorable lines from Bill & Ted 2 is: “You might be a king or a little street sweeper, but sooner or later you dance with the Reaper!”

Sadler’s portfolio includes The Shawshank Redemption, Die Hard 2, Iron Man 3, among others, He recently played an incarcerated Italian-American gangster in 50 Cent’s TV series, Power.

A synopsis for Bill & Ted 3: Face the Music via EW reads: “To fulfil their rock & roll destiny, the now middle-aged best friends set out on a new adventure when a visitor from the future warns them that only their song can save life as we know it and bring harmony to the universe. Along the way, they’ll be helped by their families, old friends, and a few music legends.”

Bill & Ted 3: Face the Music is scheduled for release on August 20, 2020.
