Woman seeks hospital treatment after ‘Avengers: Endgame’ causes “uncontrollable sobbing”

We sympathise.

An Avengers: Endgame fan was reportedly hospitalised after the superhero epic caused her to experience “uncontrollable sobbing”.

The movie-goer was reportedly watching the latest MCU movie at a cinema in China, but found herself crying so much after the film’s conclusion that she experienced widespread pain.

According to The Paper, the 21-year-old headed to her local emergency department and sought medical attention after complaining that she was experiencing numb hands and feet.

It’s believed that she was suffering from hyperventilation and was soon on the mend after being given oxygen.

The extreme emotional response comes only a day after it was reported that a man was attacked outside a cinema for revealing the plot of the superhero epic to fans who were queueing for the movie.

According to AsiaOne, the man was left with facial injuries after being attacked outside a cinema in Causeway Bay, Hong Kong. Photos posted online show him receiving treatment while sitting on a blood spattered pavement outside the cinema.
On Sunday it was confirmed that the film had broken the global box office record after hauling in more than $1 billion in its opening weekend.
Disney estimates that the three-day estimate for Avengers: Endgame in the US will land around the $310 million to $340 million mark, which beats out the current record that belongs to Avengers: Infinity War, which grossed a $258 million opening weekend.
