Gal Gadot, currently best-known for her roles in the Fast & Furious franchise, has signed up to appear in three Wonder Woman films, according to reports by Empire.
Gadot, a previous winner of the Miss Israel competition, will take on the role in the superhero mash-up opposite Henry Cavill’s Superman and Ben Affleck as Batman.
Speaking previously about her casting, director Zack Snyder said: “Wonder Woman is arguably one of the most powerful female characters of all time and a fan favorite in the DC Universe. Not only is Gal an amazing actress, but she also has that magical quality that makes her perfect for the role. We look forward to audiences discovering Gal in the first feature film incarnation of this beloved character.”
Prior to Wonder Woman Gadot will appear in Batman Vs Superman: Dawn Of Justice. Alongside Cavill, Affleck and Gadot, Amy Adams returns as Lois Lane and her Man Of Steel castmates Diane Lane and Laurence Fishburne have also reprised their roles. The film is out in March 2016. See the trailer below:
