The show is a reboot of the original 1960s 'Thunderbirds' series
The first trailer for Thunderbirds Are Go – the modern reboot of the original 1960s puppet series – has been revealed. Scroll down to watch.
The new show will air as a 26-episode series and will feature a mixture of computer-generated animation and live action model sets.
As previously reported, the show – originally created by the late Gerry Anderson – is aiming to “deliver a whole new level of action-adventure animation for today’s audience, whilst also affectionately paying tribute to the legacy of model locations from the classic series”.
Rosamund Pike (Gone Girl) is lined up to play Lady Penelope with Thomas Brodie-Sangster (The Maze Runner) playing Tracy brothers Gordon and John.
A transmission date for the show is yet to be announced.
