Actor says he wanted his character dead
Harrison Ford has said that he wishes George Lucas had killed off his character Han Solo in the Star Wars movies.
The Indiana Jones actor played the rogueish space trader in the first three Star Wars films. To many fans he was the most popular character in the series, but Ford claims that he wasn’t “interesting”, and wishes that Solo had been died as part of one of the plotlines.
Ford told ABC News: “As a character he was not so interesting to me. I thought he should have died in the last one (Return Of The Jedi), just to give it some bottom.”
He added: “But George didn’t think there was any future in dead Han toys.”
Ford is currently promoting newscaster comedy Morning Glory.
