NBC has shared a new trailer for Heroes Reborn ahead of the revival series’ premiere next month.
Jack Coleman’s Noah Bennet/HRG, Greg Grunberg’s Matt Parkman, Jimmy Jean-Louis’s ‘The Haitian’ and Masi Oka’s Hiro Nakamura are all returning for the miniseries, joined by three other original cast members: Cristine Rose’s Angela Petrelli, Noah Gray-Cabey’s Micah Sanders and Sendhil Ramamurthy’s Mohinder Suresh.
Meanwhile, new cast members for Heroes Reborn include Chuck‘s Zachary Levi, Step Up Revolution‘s Ryan Guzman and Once Upon A Time‘s Robbie Kay. NBC recently announced that the 13-episode miniseries will debut with a two-hour premiere on Thursday, September 24. At present, it is not known when or on what channel the miniseries will air in the UK.
Created by Tim Kring, the original Heroes ran for four seasons on NBC between 2006 and 2010. Kring is also steering the new miniseries as show-runner and keeping storyline details tightly under wraps. A plot synopsis for Heroes: Reborn teases: “The saga behind the 2006 breakout series Heroes will continue as creator Tim Kring returns to the fold and develops new layers to his original superhero concept.
“This highly anticipated 13-episode miniseries will reconnect with the basic elements of the show’s first season where ordinary people were waking up to the fact that they had extraordinary abilities. This series will be preceded by a new digital series that will introduce audiences to the new characters and storylines that will take the Heroes phenomenon to new places.”
